About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Developer with expertise in advanced Java concepts and a strong background in building scalable, secure backend services using Spring Boot Reactive, JPA, and FHIR HAPI. You will be responsible for designing and implementing microservices, integrating with healthcare data standards, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop robust, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot (Reactive stack).

  • Implement data persistence using JPA with PostgreSQL.

  • Integrate FHIR HAPI for healthcare interoperability, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.

  • Apply Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) for cross-cutting concerns like logging, security, and transactions.

  • Design RESTful APIs following best practices and implement secure service communication.

  • Collaborate with architects and DevOps engineers to build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines.

  • Conduct unit and integration testing using JUnit and ensure high code coverage.

  • Contribute to component-level design, system architecture, and technical documentation.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, frontend, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

What You Need

  • 3 to 5 years of backend development experience with a strong foundation in Java, Spring Boot and FHIR HAPI, including experience with the Reactive.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate and PostgreSQL for relational data persistence.
  • Experience implementing Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) for handling logging, security, and transaction management.
  • Proven expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, with a focus on secure, scalable service-to-service communication.
  • Strong background in unit testing and integration testing using frameworks like JUnit, with a focus on achieving high test coverage.
  • Ability to contribute to system architecture, perform component-level design, and document technical solutions clearly.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection in distributed systems.
