Are you an energetic, outgoing, and team-oriented software developer looking for an exciting opportunity where you can apply your software development skills to the creation of business tools? Mitel is seeking a Web Developer with Java experience to develop and support its business tools in our IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of existing Jakarta EE 10 applications.
- Development of new Jakarta EE 10 based web applications for external customers and internal employees
- Testing of the applications
- Cooperation with an international team of key users
Requirements:
- Good Java and Jakarta EE10 knowledge, preferably JDK17
- Knowledge in the following Jakarta frameworks: Faces (JSF), JPA, CDI, JAX-RS.
- Preferably knowledgeable with Payara application server
- Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL), writing SQL queries (DDL, DML)
- Good knowledge in web technologies: (X)HTML, CSS (JavaScript is a plus)
- Experience with web services: REST services (SOAP is plus), (JSON, XML)
- Experience with Junit framework and writing automated tests
- Experience with Docker
- Comfortable with using git.
- Basic Linux knowledge (Shell)
- Experience with migrating outdated application to recent technologies is a plus
- Fluent or very good English communications skills (writing and speaking)
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
- Ability to transfer business requirements to technical solutions.
- Fast learner and ability to accommodate to new technologies.
- Very good analytical, decision making, and trouble shooting skills.
- Must be able to function effectively in a results-oriented, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work on different projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from an accredited college or university
