Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, the Spring ecosystem, Azure cloud services, databases, and event-driven architecture.

This engineer will contribute to the design of modern distributed systems, build secure and reliable APIs, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity. Depending on the project, some positions may also require Python and Databricks experience.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

• Build and deploy cloud-native applications and serverless solutions using Azure Container Apps and/or Azure Functions.

• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices to support scalable, distributed applications.

• Design and optimize relational database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL.

• Work with NoSQL databases, including Azure Cosmos DB, to support application data requirements.

• Develop event-driven applications and distributed messaging solutions using Apache Kafka and/or Azure Event Hubs.

• Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.

• Apply software engineering best practices for code quality, testing, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Use AI-assisted developer tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

• For select positions, develop Python-based applications and work with Databricks for data processing and analytics.

• Mentor other engineers, participate in technical design discussions, and contribute to engineering standards.

• Strong professional experience in Java application development.

• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications using Azure Container Apps and/or Azure Functions.

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB.

• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.

• Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.

• Experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting production applications and APIs.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools and their practical application in software engineering.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Python and Databricks for applicable positions.

• Experience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of cloud security, application monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.

• Experience with automated unit, integration, and API testing.

• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and cloud deployment best practices.

• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance.

The Senior Software Engineer will be expected to:

• Take ownership of complex technical assignments from design through deployment.

• Make sound technical decisions and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions.

• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues.

• Promote engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

• Support and mentor other engineers while contributing directly to hands-on development.
