We are seeking a Senior Core Java Developer with a strong background in the financial services industry to join our high-performing technology team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building scalable, high-performance applications using Core Java, and will have deep expertise in multithreading, SQL, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines. The ability to write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests is essential. Python experience is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java-based applications used in financial systems.
- Work with stakeholders and business analysts to understand complex financial workflows and implement technical solutions.
- Ensure robust performance using efficient multithreading and concurrency practices.
- Write optimized SQL queries and work with relational databases to manage large volumes of financial data.
- Implement cloud-native solutions and services on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Integrate development workflows with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines).
- Create and maintain unit and integration tests using industry best practices (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team.
- Continuously improve code quality, development processes, and team productivity
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience with Core Java.
- Strong expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
- Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation in a DevOps environment.
- Proven ability to write unit and integration tests and use mocking frameworks.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience in the financial domain (trading systems, risk, pricing, settlement, or similar).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Python for scripting or data processing tasks.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and distributed computing.
