Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Market Risk Engines and related applications
- Build and maintain high-performance, mission-critical Java-based backend systems
- Architect scalable, resilient, and highly available enterprise solutions
- Support, optimize, and improve risk calculation platforms and services
- Collaborate closely with global teams across Europe, North America, and India
- Actively participate in Agile software development processes
- Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Develop a strong understanding of financial risk concepts, business processes, and underlying data models
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience in server-side Java development
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience building and supporting large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications
- Knowledge of multithreading, JVM internals, Spring Framework, SQL, Linux/Unix, and Python
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Background in financial services, risk management, market data, or financial analytics is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Spark, Symphony Grid, KDB, or MongoDB
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake
- Full-stack development experience
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices
