What You'll Do
In this role, you will develop and deploy a solution to securely transfer patient data for real world data creation. Additionally, you will collaborate with other Flatiron employees in the other regions, and work day-to-day with oncologists, clinicians, product leaders, quantitative scientists, and customers to understand their challenges and how technology can help solve them.

  • Build and maintain web applications that meet the needs of a rapidly changing business
  • Deploy solutions at hospital partner premises
  • Devise creative solutions to solve tough business, security, and data privacy challenges


Who You Are

  • You have 3 years of experience with software development using programming languages, such as C#, Java and Python
  • You have 3 years of experience with web technologies (such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and backend frameworks (such as ASP.NET Core and Spring MVC)
  • You have 1 year of experience with relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • You have 1 year of experience with Linux system administration
  • You have business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, and are comfortable having discussions with hospital partners/vendor companies in Japanese
  • You are willing to travel to hospital partner premises to perform server operations when needed (the company will cover travel and meal expenses during the business trip)


Optional

  • You have experience with developing or operating EHR systems or department systems
  • You have experience with managing server hardware and network devices
  • You have experience with development on AWS

Job Compensation Range
Salary Range:
Preferred Primary Location: Tokyo Office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
