The Janitorial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the facilities. The role involves performing various cleaning responsibilities to ensure the building is presentable and operational for employees and visitors.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 A.M.-3:30 P.M.
What you will do:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal. Night staff also dusts and clean surfaces, including desks, windows and furniture
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Cleaning of cafeteria equipment before and after breakfast and lunch rush. Night staff organizes tables and chairs in cafeteria at days end
- Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
- Spot cleaning of door and window glass
- Have an understanding of inventory levels and replenishment needs
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working condition
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Services Manager
- Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and meetings
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years Previous experience in commercial janitorial work required
- Must complete OSHA required training for custodians upon hire Required
