Join RKL’s Growing International Tax Practice as a Senior Tax Associate!
To meet the International Tax Practice’s continued expansion and demand, RKL is seeking a globally minded Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic International Tax Practice. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive tax solutions to multinational clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside passionate and collaborative professionals who are committed to excellence and client-focused advisory services in the field of international taxation.
Due to expanding opportunities in our International Tax practice, RKL is seeking an experienced International Tax Senior Associate to join the team. The International Tax Senior Associate will work closely with the International Tax Practice Leader and the rest of the International Tax group to provide a wide variety of compliance and consulting services for both U.S.-based and foreign-owned clients.Success Factors

Responsibilities:

Client Advisory and Project Coordination:


  • Collaborate with team members to recommend tax strategies, ensure tax compliance and mitigate cross-border double taxation for multinational clients
  • Coordinate tax related projects and review prepared tax returns for multinational companies, foreign-owned businesses, and individuals with cross-border tax implications
  • Assist clients in navigating tax implications and regulatory requirements associated with expansion into new geographic locations, providing guidance and support

Technical Expertise and Continuous Learning:

  • Address complex international tax issues, providing solutions and communicating effectively in a non-technical manner to clients and internal team members
  • Participate in continuous learning activities and conduct research to improve and develop technical expertise related to worldwide tax minimization, transfer pricing, accounting for income taxes and current business and economic issues

Mentorship and Process Improvement:


  • Provide guidance and serve as a mentor to Tax Interns and Associates, fostering professional growth both within the International Tax Practice and within Engagement Teams
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiencies of tax compliance and identification of client tax savings opportunities

Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, International Business or related field; Masters level degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in international tax, with hands-on experience in international tax reporting, including but not limited to Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118
  • CPA or EA certification a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • A strong desire to learn and develop within the ever-evolving field of international taxation, with a proactive approach to continuous professional growth
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and technologically-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools
Essential Functions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel may be required

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $95,000
