IT Technologist - Network Security IT Analyst

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
 

This role will be responsible for the following key processes and activities,

• Firewall rule implementation for customer requests for applications and infrastructure hosted on-prem, Hybrid Cloud and Cloud.
• Firewall and IPS infrastructure platform design, planning, installation, monitoring, testing, technical analysis and support..
• Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
• Operational support including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Maintain standard operation procedures.
• Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to others.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• B. Tech or any other PG such as MCA, MSC or equivalent is required, with 4-7 years of experience in networking and firewalls.
• The Network Security IT Technologist will be a member of the Network Security product team within Global IT Connectivity.
• Data Centers and is critical for securing the Medtronic computing environment and preventing security-related issues. person is responsible for the implementation of Global Security Office policies in Firewall and IPS platforms. 
• Must work with Medtronic employees, customers, Global Security, approved vendors, and Connectivity team members to design and implement security policy around infrastructure and applications. 
• Should use business analysis skills to capture requirements along with technical skills to build the solution.
• Nice to have experience in automating firewall rules or network configuration in Ansible or Terraform.
