We are looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Technician with around 2 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a good foundation in system administration and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain IT systems and infrastructure efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support servers and systems (Windows/Linux).
- Install and configure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
- Perform basic system backups, software updates, and patch management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
- Assist in implementing security measures including firewalls and antivirus tools.
- Manage user accounts and access controls (Active Directory, Group Policy).
- Maintain IT inventory and support procurement processes.
- Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Document IT processes and system configurations.
- Collaborate with other teams to support IT-related projects and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Around 2 years of experience in IT support or system/network administration.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
- Exposure to configuring and managing switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Understanding of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V preferred).
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Bash) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- [Optional] Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, MCSA) are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios).
- Awareness of basic cybersecurity best practices.
