Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop support to end-users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi.
- Assist with server administration tasks, such as monitoring performance, applying updates, and managing backups.
- Respond to and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktops, servers, and network devices.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to support larger IT projects and initiatives.
- Educate and train end-users on best practices for using technology effectively and securely.
- Ensure security protocols are followed, including antivirus management and patch updates.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Assist in the setup and support of audio/visual equipment for meetings and events.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in desktop support, network troubleshooting, and server administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with network concepts, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Experience with server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux.
- Proficiency in using remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
- Full-time position with occasional after-hours or weekend work as required.
- On-site role with occasional travel to other company locations.
- Physical ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
