This position reports to:
IS Service Owner -Build & Accelerate__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the organization’s vision and strategic direction. Each day, you will define, manage, and monitor processes to meet requirements across Azure DevOps, SonarQube, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Docker, Visual Studio/MSDN, and future AI solutions within Core IS Information Systems (IS) services by planning, measuring, and improving all aspects of IS services. You will also showcase your expertise by being a key resource, a definitive source of knowledge processes, to contribute to enhancing organizational effectiveness.
The work model for the role is: #Li-hybrid
This role is contributing to the Acceleration and Modernisation Vertical, under Build and Accelerate team and part of the ABB Technology and Platforms IS Division. Main stakeholders are Internal Business Partners.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Describing and defining IT processes/services including relationships, dependencies, and business value, and regularly maintaining all service-related information within the service management tool.
- Preparing and maintaining process documentation for the system services and advising on the correct and effective use of the services.
- Applying and executing the relevant measurement and reporting management practice to enable planning, controlling, reviewing, and auditing services to meet agreed Key Performance Indicator targets.
- Providing consultation, advice, and supporting the installation of IS services, or the change of existing IS services.
- GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Copilot governance for ABB Enterprises in GitHub (organizations, repositories, integrations, licensing)
- Automation scripts creation to limit the manual workload for the team
Our team dynamics
Build and Accelerate team is a diverse team working out of ABB offices in Krakow in Poland and Bangalore India. We are a subset of Acceleration and modernization vertical under Technology and Platform in Core IS.
Qualifications for the role
- You enjoy and are passionate about working in Operations and Engineering activities. You will be working with various applications such as Azure DevOps, Docker, SonarQube and Visual Studio, but your focus will be on GitHub and GitHub Copilot.
- You’re experienced in CI/CD tools, and your GitHub Actions skills are advanced. You can demonstrate your experience in Information Technology, Application Lifecycle Management and Services Engineering.
- You’re experienced in scripting with: Python for automation, API integrations, and custom tooling. Skilled in PowerShell for Windows and Azure resource management. Comfortable with YAML for pipelines and IaC configurations. Experienced in Bash/Shell for Linux automation and CI/CD scripts.
- You possess enhanced knowledge in User Access Management solutions for access provisioning and license management of the supported applications.
- You are highly skilled in developing reports through API integrations, leveraging the extracted data to design and build insightful Power BI dashboards.
- You have a good understanding of DORA metrics and are confident in applying them throughout the applications.
- You have Exposure to Gen AI and Agentic AI implementations across multiple AI models and have managed the User access management and implementation of the same.
- You have exposure and experience of Power apps, Power automate to support digital transformation and operational efficiency
- Proven experience architecting or solutioning and delivering workflow-driven automation solutions leveraging Azure Functions, Logic Apps, GitHub Actions, Power Automate, CI/CD pipelines, and related technologies.
- You have a good understanding of GitHub on user and administrator level. You can advise the teams and users on best practices in terms of DevOps and GitHub.
- You have a good understanding of GitHub’s APIs and their limitations. You’re comfortable with navigating through REST and GraphQL APIs.
- You’re familiar with GitHub Enterprise Cloud + Enterprise Managed Users (EMU) concept and can describe the differences between the enterprise account types.
- You’re familiar with GitHub Copilot classic governance and best practices for the administrative team and users.
- You are experienced in Azure Cloud and can develop solutions using Azure’s infrastructure.
- Degree in Information technology.
- You are at ease communicating in English
