As a Junior Murex Reporting & Data Analyst, you'll join projects for global investment banks, helping deliver reporting solutions that support Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams. You'll work with one of the world's leading capital markets platforms while building expertise in financial products, data analysis, and reporting.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze and validate capital markets data used for business, risk, and regulatory reporting
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards using data from the Murex platform
- Support data extraction, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities
- Translate business reporting requirements into functional reporting solutions
- Work with large datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and data quality issues
- Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver accurate and timely reporting
- Participate in testing and validation of reporting solutions as part of transformation projects for Tier 1 banks
- Learn Murex reporting capabilities, data models, and reporting workflows
What You Bring:
- 1+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Reporting, Business Intelligence or a related field
- Strong technical skills with a focus on data manipulation, analysis, and problem-solving
- Solid experience with Excel (advanced functions, data handling) and working with large datasets
- Good knowledge of SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data
- Experience with reporting or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Understanding of data structures, data flows, and basic data modeling concepts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data and reporting issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about financial markets and capital markets technology
Nice to Have:
- Understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, or capital markets concepts
- Familiarity with XML, APIs, or other data exchange formats
- Exposure to capital markets platforms such as Murex, Calypso, Kondor, or similar solutions
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) for data processing or automation
