About This Posting
Arizona Snowbowl is looking for a new IT Operations team member, across a potential range of experience between entry-level tech support and experienced network administration. A potential candidate will be interviewed and evaluated, potential placement to match demonstrated experience and skill level.
Who is AZSB IT Operations?
Our IT team keeps the mountain online; from device administration to the network, servers, and point-of-sale systems that the resort depends on. Depending on your experience level, your day-to-day could include any combination of:
- Helping users troubleshoot everyday technical issues, in person, by phone, email, or chat
- Working a ticketing queue and knowing when to solve something yourself versus loop in someone more senior
- Setting up and maintaining accounts, hardware, and software across departments
- Administering and troubleshooting network, server, and connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, firewall, wireless)
- Supporting POS, ecommerce, and payment systems in revenue-critical operations
- Managing identity, access, and basic security controls
- Documenting systems and solutions to share knowledge
Who We're Looking For
-Getting started in IT? If you've got a genuine interest in technology, decent problem-solving instincts, and a customer-service mindset, we want to hear from you — we'll train the rest.
-A few years experience? If you've done helpdesk, desktop support, or junior systems work and are ready for more ownership and technical depth, this could be your next step.
-Deep network/systems background? If you've got several years administering networks, servers, and infrastructure, there's room for you to come in at a senior level and take on real ownership.
-Across all levels are strong communication abilities, a willingness to learn, great service mindset, and a team-first attitude.
Experience & Education
No specific degree or certification is required, we are interested in your demonstrated ability more than credentials.
-Relevant education or certifications (CompTIA, network/systems certs, degree in a related field) will be commensurate with greater responsibility.
-Experience can range from none (with strong aptitude and drive) to 5+ years administering networks and systems.
-Relevant industry experience in hospitality and/or recreational industries preferred
-Intermediate level snowsports ability preferred (ski or snowboard)
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
-Some work is sedentary, at a computer for long periods of time.
-Some work requires bending, twisting, lifting, working in tight spaces, including climbing ladders to work at heights above 6 feet.
-Work may occasionally be outside, in inclement weather and/or at high altitude.
Compensation
-Dependent on relevant skills and experience or expertise
