We currently have a vacancy for an IT Systems Integration & Operations Consultant fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
- Provide technical consultancy and operational support for dissemination and publishing IT systems;
- Monitor and analyse system logs using tools such as CloudWatch or Dynatrace, and produce operational reports and statistics using PIWIK and/or BI tools;
- Handle IT system incidents, investigate root causes, and ensure issues are resolved efficiently;
- Test new system features, identify and document issues, and track their resolution with development teams;
- Coordinate the validation and testing of new software releases using CI/CD pipelines (preferably Bitbucket and/or GitLab);
- Support IT systems hosted in cloud environments (preferably AWS) and follow established change and release processes;
- Create, maintain, and run database scripts and Linux/Unix scripts, including JSON queries and shell scripting;
- Analyse existing systems and contribute to their ongoing improvement and evolution;
- Provide second-level technical support to users, troubleshooting functional and non-functional issues, including HTML, XML, and CSS;
- Create, manage, and follow up on support tickets with users and external service providers;
- Write and review technical and functional specifications in collaboration with architecture and operations teams;
- Deliver training sessions and system demonstrations to internal teams.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience;
- At least 5 years of experience with application servers, such as Tomcat or JBOSS / WildFly;
- At least 5 years of experience monitoring and analysing system logs and performing root-cause analysis;
- At least 4 years of experience in incident and problem management for IT systems and applications, following ITIL or similar practices;
- At least 4 years of experience in testing and validating IT system requirements;
- At least 4 years of experience with system monitoring using CloudWatch;
- At least 3 years in monitoring and analysing system logs and in Incident and Problem Management (ITIL);
- At least 3 years in testing and validating functional and non-functional requirements;
- At least 3 years of experience with HTML and XML, including schema definition, XPath parsing, XSLT transformations, and CSS;
- At least 3 years of experience using PIWIK or similar web analytics tools;
- At least 3 years of experience in Java development;
- At least 3 years of experience writing system specifications and working with technical documentation.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, using methodologies such as PM², PRINCE2, or PMI;
- At least 3 years of experience with Dynatrace;
- At least 3 years of experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- At least 3 years of experience using ticketing and documentation tools, such as Confluence, JIRA, GitLab, or similar;
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI;
- At least 2 years of experience in release management and configuring CI/CD pipelines;
- At least 2 years of experience with API management and testing tools, such as curl, Postman, and JSON-based APIs;
- At least 2 years of experience in cloud environment management;
- At least 1 year of experience with databases, such as MySQL or SQL Server, and Oracle or PostgreSQL;
- At least 1 year of experience working with Linux systems, including shell scripting and basic system administration;
- At least 1 year of experience with network topology concepts, including TCP/IP, load balancers, and proxy servers;
- At least 1 year of experience with Perl;
- At least 1 year of experience working with AWS Cloud services;
- At least 1 year of experience with containerisation technologies, such as Docker and/or Kubernetes;
- At least 1 year of experience in database and network management;
- Good knowledge of Elasticsearch.
- Excellent command of the English language.
