The IT System Analyst will design and implement IT solutions, often based on user needs. They work with companies’ leadership to understand how teams, employees or clients will use technology and what programs, features or platforms will serve them best. It is important for IT analysts to know and understand hardware, software, applications, networks and emerging technology.
This is a shared services role between PRISM Plastics and Wilbert Plastic Services.

Manage small and large projects as assigned by Group Director of IT. Including but not limited to, TiSax certification, Shop Data implementation, PowerBI, Security systems, IP phone system, etc.

Work with current IT team as assigned by Group Director of IT.

Work with Managed Services Provider on IT Projects as assigned by Group Director of IT

Travel to Prism and Wilbert facilities to support projects

Support Cyber Security projects – KnowBe4 clicks, Qualys, Abnormal

Work with executive management to create PowerBI sites to support a data driven environment.

Train employees on new IT initiatives.

Support with Software and Hardware purchases.

Manage software licensing

Create/update documented IT processes

Attend weekly IT meetings and report out projects.

Other projects assigned by the Group Director of IT

The IT System Analyst has overall ownership and technical accountability for all project related tasks. They will have strong hands-on experience working in an enterprise IT environment and with 3rd Party Managed Services organizations. Technical proficiency, including systems experience, strong troubleshooting, and advanced problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable being On-Call, supporting 24x7 operations and travel to plants within the Shared Services Group.

Service Management

  • Owner of all projects related tasks including, planning, building and reporting of timelines to senior management and IT team.
  • Maintain high-performing service support functions.
  • Monitor, control, and support service delivery, ensuring systems, methodologies, and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Be accountable for the quality of service and performance, ensuring future demand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans for all associated systems.

Technical

  • Manage cybersecurity and vulnerability software including Qualys and Abnormal
  • Design and develop an internal PowerBI website.
  • Understanding of HTML and WordPress to update company websites
  • Must have thorough understanding of operating systems such as Windows.
  • Perform system testing by verifying and validating that a software or application performs as expected without errors or defects.
  • Create technical documentation and workflows.
  • MSSQL language a plus
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new software to support an expanding enterprise system.
  • Participate in the design of systems for optimum performance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, and document and maintain hardware and software standards.
  • Work with 3rd Party MSP to help design, manage, and monitor Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tools and procedures to ensure the security of the company’s data.
  • Work with Partners and IT Management regarding systems hosted in shared data centers.

Performance & Quality

  • Manage and lead projects from initial kickoff through until final signoff from Group Director of IT
  • Make recommendations for Service Improvement Plans and ensure actions are followed through to completion in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal and third-party teams to ensure actions are taken and completed to protect and improve services.
  • Provide regular and accurate management reporting to Group Director of IT, on IT Service performance.
  • Be an ambassador for IT, working across the business to provide effective communication on IT matters and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue between departments.

The IT System Analyst will report directly to the Group Director of IT.

This role will involve direct contact with department heads throughout the company to ensure IT meets the expected service levels. They will work closely with 3rd party Managed Service Provider. They will also interact with vendors and other service providers.

  • BA/BS (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related discipline preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
  • 5+ years of experience as a service management professional in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT professional in a project management role.
  • Strong functional, analytical, presentation, documentation, training, customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills.
  • Experience with Crystal reports and SQL a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint a plus.
