Duties/Responsibilities
- Facilitating timely, open and clear communications regarding – system issues, enhancements, maintenance, etc.
- Assist in the implementation and management of server infrastructure and related software and services, such as servers, hosts, VMs, clusters, Storage Area Networks (SANs), Active Directory, PKI, monitoring, logging, and ticketing. This will include activities such as: Firmware Updates, System Patching, Support Software Upgrades (DPA, Lansweeper, Smarter Stats, etc.)
- Tier 1 Alert Triage and Remediation – Proactive review and remediation of non-critical alerts and reporting on various metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including client FTP sites.
- Support our compliance with the annual SOC II and partner audits by providing evidence and artifacts based on requested control review items. This would include screenshots, script generated spreadsheets, Fresh Service reports, etc.
- Assist in documentation of assets, processes, procedures, and solutions. This includes maintaining current documentation, identifying documentation gaps, and assisting in creating new documentation.
- Identify redundant support processes and help develop tools for automation.
- Assist in the management and implementation of the vulnerability and risk management program.
- Help to maintain and test the Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Ensure EBAC Technology adherence to Milliman’s Information Security Policy.
- Work with Support team to successfully manage business to business environments.
- Support the product development teams to ensure sprint goals are achieved.
- Coordinate the promotion of product code and operational changes through our DevOps pipelines.
- Maintain good working relationships with peers both within and outside EBAC Technology.
- Fulfill the technical requirements of your team as needed to accomplish team responsibilities.
- Maintain on-call support and ability to receive and respond to critical system alerts.
- After-hours and weekend work required as planned to support scheduled change events.
Required Experience and Skills
- 8+ years’ experience in server, storage, database, and back-up administration and/or technology delivery/services.
- 5+ years expertise in the Microsoft Stack including Windows Servers, Clusters, Hyper-V, IIS, .Net, SQL Server, Scale Out File Clusters.
- Experience with networked technologies including Servers, Networking, Load Balancers, Storage Area Networks, Firewalls, Switches, Routers.
- Advanced automation and scripting through PowerShell and related technologies.
- Proficient using networking tools including packet capture, nmap, tracert, putty, etc.
- Experience working with service and operating models including ITIL, Agile Scrum and SOC 2 certified environments.
- Proven ability to deliver consistent and reliable, high-quality work in a dynamic and complex working environment hosting multi-tiered, mission critical systems that do not tolerate downtime.
