Role Overview
We’re seeking a hands-on System Administrator to support and mature Blue Matter’s IT
environment India. You’ll administer both Google Workspace and
Microsoft 365, manage cloud and endpoint services, and troubleshoot hardware for a
mixed Windows/macOS fleet. This role partners closely with Security and Enterprise
Applications to deliver a reliable, secure, and user-friendly technology experience.
Location: Pune or Gurgaon, India (Onsite)

What You’ll Do
Google Workspace administration: User / group / OU management; security, Gmail,
Drive/Shared Drives, Calendar, and device policies in the Admin Console; identity and
SSO integrations where applicable.
Microsoft 365 & Azure AD (Entra ID): User / license management; Exchange Online,
SharePoint, OneDrive; Azure AD conditional access; basic PowerShell for automation.
Endpoint & mobility: Intune / Endpoint Manager (and/or equivalent MDM) for Windows
and macOS; software packaging, update rings, device compliance, disk encryption.
Hardware support: Diagnose and resolve laptop, dock, display, printer, and peripheral
issues; coordinate vendor repairs and RMA; maintain spares and asset inventory.
Network fundamentals: Support office Wi-Fi/LAN (basic switch/AP troubleshooting),
VPN client configuration, and DNS/DHCP basics (escalate to network partners as
needed).
Cloud & SaaS administration: Provision and support core SaaS (e.g., collaboration,
project tools); manage SSO, MFA, and least-privilege access; assist with backups and
retention.
Security & compliance: Implement hardening baselines, patching, and endpoint
protection; respond to alerts; support audits and evidence collection alongside Security.
Automation & documentation: Build light automations (PowerShell, bash, Google Apps
Script) and maintain playbooks, diagrams, and KB articles for repeatable operations.
Customer service: Provide timely L1/L2 support, including new-hire onboarding, desk
setups, and executive support; maintain high CSAT.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 3–6 years in IT systems administration supporting both Google Workspace
and Microsoft 365 in a multi-site environment.
Technical depth:
Google Admin Console (users/groups/OU, security, Drive, Gmail, devices).
Microsoft 365 + Azure AD/Entra (Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Conditional
Access, basic PowerShell).
Intune/Endpoint Manager (Windows/macOS), JAMF or equivalent MDM a plus.
Solid hardware troubleshooting for laptops/peripherals; imaging/provisioning
experience.
Core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi) fundamentals.
Security mindset: MFA, SSO, least-privilege, patching, disk encryption, EDR/antivirus;
familiarity with incident response workflows.
Soft skills: Clear communication, service orientation, and the ability to work
independently onsite while collaborating with global colleagues.
Nice-to-haves / Certifications: CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate, Google Workspace Administrator, ITIL Foundation.
