About This Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled IT System Expert with strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of OpenShift container platforms and Linux infrastructure. Experience with Oracle Solaris administration is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
- Manage OpenShift clusters, including control plane and worker nodes, operators, and platform services.
- Perform cluster health monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain security hardening, RBAC, authentication, certificate management, and compliance standards.
- Support containerized application deployments and CI/CD integration.
- Perform operating system patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot Linux OS, OpenShift platform, networking, storage, and container-related issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, database, and security teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop and maintain automation using Ansible and shell scripting.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and serve as the technical escalation point for OpenShift and Linux platforms.
Required Skills
- 8-10+ years of IT Infrastructure Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) administration.
- Strong administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9).
- Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture, container orchestration, and container runtime technologies.
- Experience with OpenShift Operators, Routes, Projects, Networking, Storage Classes, Persistent Volumes, and Image Registry.
- Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
- Experience with Ansible, Bash/Shell scripting, and infrastructure automation.
- Good knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience integrating enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NFS/CSI).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
