Job Description:

The IT System Engineer is responsible for the strategic design, technical implementation, and long-term stability of the company’s digital ecosystem. This role bridges the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution—designing the "big picture" architecture while ensuring that operating systems, software, and infrastructure are configured to meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Solution Design

  • System Blueprinting: Research and evaluate requirements for new and existing applications to design integrated, scalable software and infrastructure solutions.

  • Technical Specifications: Lead the creation of technical specifications for internal developments and provide the design framework for all new IT initiatives.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate business processes to identify inefficiencies and propose IT-driven solutions to improve operational flow.

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire application lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical roadmaps, business needs, and "Security by Design" principles.

2. System Engineering & Operational Excellence

  • Deployment & Configuration: Develop, configure, and maintain software solutions and operating systems, ensuring they are rigorously tested before deployment.

  • Systemic Troubleshooting: Perform advanced, systematic problem analysis to resolve critical errors within the production environment.

  • Monitoring & Reliability: Implement and manage advanced monitoring systems for IT equipment and services to ensure maximum uptime and preventive maintenance.

3. Strategic Liaison & Global Collaboration

  • Global Alignment: Maintain a strong partnership with the IT Department in Germany, ensuring local infrastructure aligns with international corporate standards.

  • Stakeholder Interface: Act as technical bridge between internal business departments and external IT service providers.

  • Project Leadership: Plan and coordinate IT projects in collaboration with process owners, ensuring alignment with management’s short-term and long-term strategies.

  • Change Management: Support and oversee the technical execution of Change Management activities across the organization.

4. Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Security Implementation: Enforce IT safety directives and preventive measures across all systems to mitigate risks.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes strictly adhere to IT security best practices, company procedures, and GDPR regulations.

  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate system health and departmental efficiency.
