General Scope:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, SaaS systems, Infosec and networks. This role supports both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, manages software and hardware assets, and provides technical support to end users. Requirements
Key Expectations:
- Maintain, upgrade, and support core IT systems including, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., 365, KPA, Meraki, Adobe, PBX, MaaS360, Basis, Netsuite, ProofPoint).
- Monitor system performance and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. Regularly audit these systems, user access and security.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange/O365 environments.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical issues, resolving problems related to hardware, software, network, or user access.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions. Specifically to implement / provide documentation of these plans
- Ensure all systems are compliant with organizational policies and cybersecurity best practices.
- Manage and maintain endpoint protection and patch management solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and change management. Create an IT handbook
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for troubleshooting and project implementation.
- Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding users, provisioning hardware, and assigning access.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong knowledge of , Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, VPNs.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure/) is a plus.
- Experience with backup/recovery tools and endpoint security platforms.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, VMware, Azure) preferred.
