Job DescriptionThe IT Support Technician will have a basic understanding of technical aspects of end user and infrastructure support. In addition, this individual must successfully triage support tickets, manage their own support requests, possess troubleshooting abilities, and be a dedicated and dynamic team player. This person will be expected to assist in local technical support. Generate and modify technical documentation. Execute tasks for one or more efforts simultaneously as delegated by the IT Support Group Lead and/or Director of IT Operations.
Responsibilities
- Resolve, triage and/or update level 1-2 support tickets as documented in the IT Call Flow and associated SLA’s.
- Assist with local IT support issues or requests.
- Maintain or assist with the IT inventory for their site.
- Help with setup and care for local conference rooms and data closets.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule and adhere to SLA’s
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent years of experience, preferred
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience required
- Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Certification, or equivalent technical certification
Additional Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to guide and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical resources.
- Proven interpersonal and external communication skills.
- Works effectively under immediate supervision.
- Positive upbeat personality with a strong focus on customer service.
- Familiar with an end-user support and computing environment.
- Willing to learn and take on new assignments.
- Has organizational skills and can prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred knowledge of the commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
- Experience with the following applications and or systems is strongly preferred:
- Windows Operating Systems 7 through 11
- Microsoft Office 2016 through M365
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting applications (Microsoft M365, PDF annotation, Microsoft Teams and other SaaS applications)
- Experience with the following applications and or systems is a plus:
- Autodesk Product Suite
- Bluebeam Revu\Studio
- VPN
- Adobe Creative Suite
- VOIP
- Video Conferencing
- Remote Support Tools
- Desktop Imaging
- Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Problem Management (Kepner Tregoe)
