About the role
As our Junior IT Support / Service Desk Specialist, you’ll fill a junior but impactful role at a high‑velocity, AI‑driven startup with strong market fit, ensuring our fully remote global team stays productive and secure.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level IT support via chat, email, and video calls across time zones
- Triage, log, resolve, and escalate support tickets
- Troubleshoot hardware/software remotely (Windows, macOS, VPN, SaaS tools)
- Guide home-office hardware purchases - ensuring compatibility and performance
- Support core analytics and data systems
- Handle essential administrative duties: provisioning user access, managing permissions, and assisting with basic tasks on ClickHouse, Redash, and others.
- Manage cloud and security tools
- Support access setup and user roles in GCP/Azure, and help maintain security tooling like Keeper (password vault) and Drata (compliance automation).
- Remote-access support
- Use remote‑access tools to assist our distributed team, resolving access and connectivity issues efficiently across different time zones.
Requirements
- Recent graduate or early-career individual (0-1 year experience) with an IT or technical background
- Comfortable with basic OS (Windows/macOS/Linux), Google Workspace, and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Strong communicator, able to explain tech to non-technical teammates
- Proactive, organized, and self-driven; comfortable with asynchronous workflows
- Bonus if you have scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JS)
Nice to have
- Experience or familiarity with remote-support and ticketing tools
- Awareness of InfoSec best practices (SSO, RBAC, compliance tooling)
- Basic familiarity or interest with agentic AI - AI agents that autonomously plan and act on multi‑step tasks using reasoning and decision-making
