Position Summary:
The IT Support Intern will administer and support several software programs, support the company’s information technology (IT) hardware, provide help desk support, and help plan and support other efforts related to Hagerty’s growing technology footprint. This is a part-time, hybrid position that will require 1 day a week onsite in Evanston, Illinois.
Responsibilities for the IT Support Intern Include:
- Provide hardware/software support to office and field-level staff.
- Promptly review, respond to, and escalate help desk tickets.
- Administer various software programs.
- Manage the inventory, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware.
- Help drive infrastructure consolidation, cyber security efforts, device management.
- Communicate with the team efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications for the IT Support Intern Include:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems).
- Experience in IT or a technology-related environment, which can include internship, part-time, or academic/work-study experience.
- Technical familiarity with mobile devices (iOS and Android), Microsoft platforms/products (Windows 10/11, Office, SharePoint, MS Teams).
- Effective communication skills, including interacting with Hagerty professionals and executives on the phone to troubleshoot issues.
- Prior helpdesk/service experience.
Compensation for the IT Support Intern Includes:
- Hourly Range of $17-20. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
