THE ROLE
As first point of contact for the management of IT incidents related to the normal operation of the Italy office. You will provide first and second line IT support to staff and clients. Providing a high standard of support for the resolution of any IT and related request connected to the IT services provided. Assisting in the day-to-day running of the office Audio Visual, IT and network infrastructure, to troubleshoot and maintain the equipment ensuring smooth operations. Reporting to UK based IT Manager you must be able to self-task, assigning jobs as needed depending on priority.
We are looking for an Information Technology Support Analyst to join our expanding global IT team, capable of delivering service excellence by ensuring the smooth running of the company's technology systems.Although the role includes a fair amount of autonomy you will be working alongside a multinational Team of highly experience IT Professionals offering a learning experience for all aspects of the job and IT Systems. A highly customer centric position communicating with stakeholders at all levels across a global business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working within the Italy IT Operations team and reporting to the London based IT manager, the role involves:
- Monitor and triage of ITMS system (Freshdesk).
- First line and second line tech support for staff, including some out-of-hours and holiday support.
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
- Setting up and configuring user workstations.
- Network administration including WAN and LAN Management on local and global network and Wi-Fi systems.
- Telephony Management, Door access management, CCTV Management.
- Hardware, software, mobile device and general IT system maintenance.
- Remote IT support for different geographies.
- Maintaining and implementing security for physical and virtual access.
- Low-level file and folder management, data migrations and monitoring of backup systems.
- Keeping websites up-to-date, processing content change requests.
- Assisting with regular software and hardware upgrades.
- General administration duties.
- Any other ad-hoc duties commensurate with the role.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Time management & prioritization skills - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.
- Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications. When communicating verbally – whether over the phone, on video calls, in person or in meetings – you will need to be articulate, warm and engaging.
- Flexibility - being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things, even if they are not spelled out in your job description.
- Intellectual Curiosity – Technical Management is a broad and nuanced field and we are looking for someone who is truly interested in our profession and has the intellectual curiosity to delve deep into topics and bring fresh ideas into the team.
- IT Literacy - you need to be comfortable with IT systems and working with data (you should have at least intermediate-level excel).
- Delivery focus – it may sound obvious, but the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters!
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in an office support role.
- Must have keen interest in IT.
- IT qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Italian language skills.
- Good written and spoken English language skills.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office365, Cloud Services, Basic Networking and Linux skills desirable.
