About the Role


Davidson is seeking a motivated customer-focused IT Specialist to join our IT team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone starting their career in IT, with a passion for troubleshooting and delivering excellent user support. If you’re curious, adaptable, and eager to deepen your technical expertise while taking on increasing responsibility, this role offers a front-row seat to some of the most exciting work in the market.


What You’ll Be Doing


No two days look the same, but your core responsibilities will include:


  • Help monitor and manage IT tickets in the ticketing system, ensuring timely responses and resolutions
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues operating systems, and software (such as Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive).
  • Help with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain network systems, including routers and switches.
  • Support system updates, patches, and data backups.
  • Prepare technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with IT staff on projects and initiative
  • Other duties as assigned, including department wide projects

What You’ll Bring


You’re more than your credentials—you’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and ready to grow. Ideally, you bring:


  • Diploma or certificate from a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Experience with common IT support tools (e.g., ticketing systems, remote desktop tools) is an asset.
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining system security and data integrity
  • CompTIA A+, Network +, or similar certifications

Let’s Talk Numbers


We believe in transparency and fairness. The annual base salary range for this role is $50,000–$55,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our total rewards package provides significant additional value beyond base compensation.
