The IT Senior Data Engineer requires supporting Operational Technology portfolio projects in managing and supporting multiple applications databases across operations technology organization covering applications like Maximo, Power Plan, MWM, GIS, . The individual will support applications databases and coordinate all master data activities with other organizational Governance teams. The IT Senior Data Engineer maintain appropriate data documentation, including master data management, data quality, report inventory, enterprise data definitions, policies and procedures and others.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects relevant to the application

  • Support Oracle, SQL Server, or other enterprise RDBMS platforms at a technical level.

  • Configure and validate ODBC connections for application connectivity across environments.

  • Write clean, efficient, well‑structured SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.

  • Perform SQL performance tuning, including indexing strategies, query plan analysis, and code optimization.

  • Assist with schema design, data modeling, and normalization/denormalization decisions.

  • Enforce data governance standards, naming conventions, and metadata documentation.

  • Able to create dashboards or reports in Power BI.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill: 

  • Azure Ecosystem, ETL, Power BI, Oracle, SQL

    • ODBC/JDBC connectivity configuration & troubleshooting

    • API integration (REST, JSON, XML parsing)

    • Experience of building data processing pipelines for use in production “hands off” batch systems, including either traditional ETL pipelines and/or analytics pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration management tools and technologies: Terraform, CI/CD. Experience on Databricks, including ETL and job creation/scheduling is preferred.

  • Strong Experience in agile projects and highly proficient in the agile framework

Education:     

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field. Computer Science preferred.

Experience:  

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years related experience

Licenses & Certifications:  

  • Any Cloud certification is required; Azure certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.

  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

$132,210.00-$146,900.00
