This role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting, open and collaborative environment as part of the IT Applications team. The team works closely with business stakeholders on design, development, implementation and maintenance of IT systems and business solutions supporting Sophos’ Sales, Marketing, Billing, Order management and Engineering organization. Our team uses Agile development methods to manage projects and is focused on delivering straightforward, high quality, intuitive systems and processes that are built with both the present and future in mind. 

 

What You Will Do

  • Be a Technical SME for QA process and automation owned by the team
  • Own QA process driving continuous improvement to quality and adherence to standards
  • Drive QA team’s technical capability improvement
  • Create and track metrics to show continuous improvement starting in QA
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support whenever required
  • Act as an escalation point for production issues and drive to closure
  • Ensure process for UAT and smoke testing sessions are followed
  • Review production release quality and make improvements where needed
  • Effectively communicate in a variety of forums across organization
  • Conduct presentations and/or training to cross-functional groups on solutions delivered
  • Represent your technical area and IT on cross-functional enhancements and projects, including the coordination and resolution of appropriate issues
  • Lead testing sessions collaborating with BA, development and Business Stakeholders
  • Understanding of connecting systems and able to perform impact and risk analysis
  • Make vendor assessments on automation tools and process where necessary

  • Experience to be effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels and attentively listens to others
  • An ability to uncovers root causes to difficult problems
  • Experience working with business applications like Salesforce.com, Zuora a plus
  • Degree in Information Technology, business-related subject, or equivalent
  • 7-10 years of experience in a QA or related role

In the United States, the base salary for this role ranges from $111,000 to $185,000. In addition to base salary, we offer additional compensation including bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
