Position Summary
Hillwood is seeking an IT Project Manager & Business Analyst to support its Europe and Middle East (EMEA) operations, with a primary focus on enterprise applications and cross-functional business initiatives. This position is based in Luxembourg and is part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
The successful candidate will lead technology and business initiatives from planning through deployment and stabilization, partnering closely with business leaders, application teams, and IT leadership to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
In addition to project management responsibilities, this role will serve as a key business analyst for EMEA-based initiatives by gathering and analyzing requirements, evaluating alternatives, challenging assumptions, documenting business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Delivery:
- Lead enterprise technology and business initiatives from project initiation through deployment, stabilization, and value realization.
- Assist in the evaluation, prioritization, and planning of technology initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives, resource capacity, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with business and IT leadership to assess project demand, identify dependencies, and recommend sequencing of initiatives.
- Develop project charters, project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, milestones, and success metrics.
- Manage project scope, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, escalating as appropriate.
- Monitor project performance and communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to business stakeholders and IT leadership.
- Ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with business requirements, project objectives, and organizational priorities.
Business Analysis:
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate opportunities, challenge assumptions, and recommend technology-enabled process improvements
- Facilitate discussions that align business priorities, operational needs, and technology capabilities to develop practical and scalable solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering, documentation, validation, and prioritization efforts for enterprise application and technology initiatives.
- Conduct business process mapping, workflow analysis, and gap assessments to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and actionable delivery plans.
- Partner with business stakeholders, application teams, developers, and architects to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Maintain traceability between business requirements, development efforts, testing activities, and delivered outcomes.
- Support user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and change management initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and delivery lead for assigned projects and initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders across EMEA and the United States.
- Lead cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to achieve project objectives and business outcomes.
- Facilitate collaboration, alignment, and accountability among project participants and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with associates at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing recommendations, insights, and guidance related to project delivery and business process improvements.
AI-Enabled Delivery and Continuous Improvement:
- Leverage modern technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve project planning, analysis, documentation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business processes, project delivery, and decision-making through automation and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative tools and solutions that support organizational objectives and operational effectiveness.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead initiatives from opportunity assessment through delivery, driving alignment, decision-making, and execution with minimal supervision.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into clearly defined requirements, actionable plans, and practical technology solutions.
- Demonstrated business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and ERP platforms; JD Edwards and/or OneStream experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business and technical challenges.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a international teams, business leaders, and technology stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, across multiple countries and time zones.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working across geographically dispersed and international teams.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Ability to work in-office and travel as needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of project management, business analysis, or related experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
- Experience leading projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, and translating business needs into technology solutions.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, or enterprise application initiatives.
- PMP, Agile, Scaled Agile, or equivalent project management certification required.
- Experience working in a global business environment preferred.
