Position Overview:
The IT Project Coordinator works with different departments across the company to coordinate project activities that involve IT, including simple tasks and larger plans. This position manages project schedules, arranges assignments, and communicates progress to all team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Project Coordinator:
Oversees and manages IT projects
Facilitates development of project plans and manages them from inception to completion
Schedules regular meetings and records decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)
Creates project plans, creating a timeline and setting benchmarks
Orders resources, like equipment and software
Retrieves necessary information (e.g. project requirements and timelines)
Tracks expenses and predicts future costs
Monitors project progress and addresses potential issues
Measures and reports on project performance
Acts as the point of contact for all participants
Maintains project progress in project management tool
Communicates with project stakeholders to identify needs and possible solutions
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
Develops an understanding of business and data requirements to ensure successful project outcomes
Assists with vendor management and assessment
Performs project tasks as necessary (e.g. configure and install equipment, make site visits)
Analyzes project data and produces progress reports
Fosters positive and productive client relationships
Seeks opportunities to increase customer service and project success
Performs other related duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Some travel may be required of this position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Administration (required)
At least 4 years of progressively responsible positions within Information Technology and demonstration of successful project management experience (required)
At least 3 years of experience using Asana (required)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
