About the Role:

The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with operational excellence to deliver efficient and effective IT support. The specialist will troubleshoot technical issues, manage IT projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise business processes.


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

    • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues(Assist with network troubleshooting and maintenance, including Wi-Fi connectivity, VPNs, and LAN/WAN issues).
    • Diagnose and resolve complex IT problems, escalating issues as necessary.
    • Implement effective solutions to minimise system downtime and maximise user productivity.

IT Operations & Maintenance:

    • Monitor and maintain IT systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
    • Perform routine system checks, backups, and updates.
    • Implement security measures to protect IT assets and data.
    • Manage new and existing hardware assignments through our MDM service and work closely with our vendors for procurements, repairs and troubleshooting.

Project Management:

    • Participate in IT projects, providing technical expertise and support.
    • Manage IT-related projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project plans.

Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and workflows.
    • Implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.

Operational Excellence & Compliance:

    • Skillfully handle business requests and issues, ensuring minimal disruptions.
    • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations (e.g., GDPR).
    • Lead data analysis and reporting efforts, providing actionable insights.

Incident Management:

    • Coordinate and manage incident response, minimising business impact.
    • Conduct post-incident analysis and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support or operations.
  • Proficiency and experience in macOS, ChromeOS, Windows, Android & iOS environments, network infrastructure, information security & compliance,Google Workspace,IdP solutions (e.g., Okta),Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic Project management skills
