Job Description

What does it feel like to be an IT Operations Platforms Specialist in Netcompany?

As an IT Operations Platforms Specialist, you will:

  • Support the architecture and design of platform solutions, including databases, middleware, virtualisation and container platforms.
  • Implement and manage platform maintenance routines, schedules and operational procedures.
  • Implement and operate orchestration and automation tools to maintain, optimise and extend platform solutions.
  • Implement and operate platform management, monitoring and reporting tools to ensure performance, availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve platform-related incidents and technical issues, including performance analysis and tuning.
  • Implement and operate shared platform services such as OpenShift, Splunk and Oracle Enterprise Manager, including backup and restore solutions.
  • Monitor platform health and contribute to continuous improvement, optimisation and operational efficiency.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and support documentation, collaborating with architecture, development, infrastructure and operations teams.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • University degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in IT platform operations, infrastructure or systems administration.
  • Mandatory: Valid OpenShift certification and proven hands-on experience with OpenShift in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with databases, middleware, virtualisation and container platforms.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Splunk, Oracle Enterprise Manager or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of automation, orchestration, monitoring and platform management tools.
  • Experience with backup and restore, performance tuning and troubleshooting of enterprise platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
  • Strong English communication skills; knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with architecture, development, infrastructure and operations teams.
