Job Title: IT Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an IT Operations Manager to join a dynamic IT team with an established Financial Services company. Reporting to the CIO, this is exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to join the Irish operations of a global financial services entity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the organisations IT environment, ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of IT systems and services while also having the opportunity to provide key input in the overall strategy and design of infrastructure and ICT projects

Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud systems, backup and disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
  • Manage IT department team members, including performance and training assessments.
  • Ensure the management of IT infrastructure is fully aligned with IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning policies
  • Managing suppliers and external partners in the delivery of ICT services
  • Oversee proactively monitoring of hardware and software systems to meet key performance measures and continually enhance service delivery
  • Work with third party vendors to manage the security and compliance of IT systems
  • Manage IT support teams and partners.
  • Identify and manage operational risks
  • Help develop and enforce group IT policies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Manage IT vendors, contracts and service level agreements
  • Manage Software Licensing
  • Define and develop IT policies and procedures
  • Manage IT department team members, including performance and training assessments.

Requirements

  • Strong Experience managing cloud-based systems (e.g. Azure, O365)
  • Strong experience managing IT systems and 3rd party tools.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance processes.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL
  • Experience with IT systems installation, configuration and analysis
  • Experience with network security protocols, firewalls, and data protection
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • The role is based in Dublin but the candidate will need travel to regional offices when required.

Education and Experience

  • Qualifications in Computer Science, IT or relevant field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an IT Management role
  • Experience working in Insurance/Financial Services desirable
