Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead and optimize the workflow of a multidisciplinary IT team supporting multiple network enclaves, including classified and unclassified environments. These enclaves span on-premises government sites, contractor facilities, and cloud environments. The team’s efforts include building and enhancing DevSecOps pipelines, IT engineering to maintain and improve infrastructure, help desk support for enclave users, and cybersecurity operations. The IT Operations Manager will focus on managing the team’s workflow and efficiency, ensuring tasks are prioritized to align with high-impact development and engineering needs, as well as items with high customer visibility. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise in Linux and networking. While cybersecurity certifications are desired, they are not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Workflow Management:
Control and optimize the workflow of the IT team, ensuring tasks are prioritized based on impact to development and engineering teams and customer visibility.
Oversee task tracking and reporting using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Ensure timely completion of tasks and proper documentation of processes, including network diagrams, server configurations, and how-to guides.
Leadership and Coordination:
Provide leadership and direction to IT engineering, DevSecOps, help desk, and cybersecurity personnel.
Attend customer meetings to present the status of IT operations and enclave activities.
Facilitate team meetings, including weekly operations reviews and monthly Change Control Board sessions.
Infrastructure and Enclave Management:
Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of classified and unclassified network enclaves across on-premises, contractor sites, and cloud environments.
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to ensure infrastructure supports their needs effectively.
Technical Oversight:
Provide guidance on Linux system administration and networking tasks.
Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to infrastructure and network operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure all aspects of work are documented in Confluence, including rack diagrams, network diagrams, server configurations, and operational guides.
Monitor and report team progress using Jira and other project management tools.
Required Education
Education: BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Required Experience
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Interim Secret security clearance required to begin employment.
Background: Must have 8+ years of IT experience, including Linux system administration or Linux system engineering, and Linux networking. Must have 2+ years of IT Operations Management experience similar to the responsibilities of this position.
Skills: Must have strong organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on workflow management and team efficiency. Must have experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Desired Experience
Education: Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE, Network+, CCNA) are preferred but not required.
Skills: Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and cloud environments. Experience with Windows administration, including Windows 10, DISA SHB, and Windows Server.

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
