About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated IT Operations Intern who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

The IT Operations Intern will assist Sezzle’s IT Operations team with daily support tasks, troubleshooting, and project-based initiatives. This role is designed for a candidate pursuing a technical degree who wants to gain real-world experience in IT service delivery and operational support. The intern will work closely with the IT Operations team to ensure timely resolution of end-user issues, maintain accurate inventory, and contribute to IT process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Service Desk Support: Respond to and resolve incoming IT service desk tickets in Jira related to hardware, software, or user access issues.
  • Break/Fix Work: Assist with diagnosing and resolving end-user device issues, including both macOS and Windows systems.
  • Device Deployment: Support the setup, imaging, and distribution of laptops and peripherals for new and existing employees.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding Support: Help provision accounts, configure systems for new hires, and assist with access removal and equipment collection for departures.
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, ensuring proper tagging, documentation, and periodic audits.
  • Documentation: Contribute to and update internal documentation for troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and process workflows.
  • Project Assistance: Support the IT Operations team with ongoing initiatives related to system improvements, automation, or infrastructure upgrades.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in miscellaneous tasks and projects that support the IT Operations team’s mission.

What We Look For:

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or technical program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, preferably with an emphasis on IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Management.

Location: Based in Bogotá, Colombia; able to work both remotely and onsite when required.

Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with macOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking, device configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace.
  • Interest in learning IT ticketing systems, MDM platforms, and automation tools.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Prior experience providing IT support (academic, internship, or volunteer).
  • Basic knowledge of IT security concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
  • Interest in pursuing certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or JAMF 100.
