Daily health assessments of the environment during normal work hours:
Check logs for database, syslog, application server configuration, http errors, and other components in the solution.
Verify backup jobs have completed correctly.
View and analyze logs by using "Diagnostics" feature in OpenShift web client.
Check storage free space.
Verify all services are running, including http, application servers, LDAP, and the database.
Weekly maintenance activities for OpenPages:
Perform database maintenance and collect statistics.
Enable and Disable OpenPages System Admin Mode, as necessary.
Monitor and manage the reporting schema.
Monitor and manage folder and files using System Files area of IBM OpenPages.
Monthly reviews and maintenance:
Monitor server certificates and configure/replace, if necessary. Import certificate into local trust store, if necessary.
Perform password change management (Liberty Keystore, 'OPSystem' user, changing data encryption key).
Monitoring and maintaining role-based security model – role templates, security rules, custom security for projects, and encryption. Add property templates, document classes, security proxies, and folders.
Collaborate with application owners to plan and execute deployment of application updates or enhancements into production.
Perform other steady-state OpenPages administration tasks not specified above, as mutually agreed by both parties.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
4 to 6 years of hands-on in production support and development
