Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Officer to manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, network systems, and security technologies. The role is responsible for ensuring continuous system availability, safeguarding company data, supporting users, and maintaining surveillance and attendance systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and capable of managing multiple IT functions in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user devices
- Ensure server performance, system security, and regular data backups
- Monitor network performance and ensure stable internet connectivity
- Liaise with service providers to resolve connectivity and system issues
- Oversee and maintain CCTV and surveillance systems, including footage monitoring and storage
- Manage biometric attendance systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Ensure IT-related power backup systems (UPS, generators) are functional and tested
- Monitor systems for incidents, respond promptly to failures or breaches, and maintain logs
- Implement and maintain IT security measures and access controls
- Provide technical support to staff and ensure minimal downtime across departments
- Monitor security operations and yard activities through CCTV and system records
- Report any operational, security, or system-related irregularities to management
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration
- Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, biometric devices, and server management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of network security and data protection practices
- Ability to monitor systems, respond quickly to incidents, and ensure business continuity
- Strong communication skills and ability to support end users effectively
