Position Summary:
The IT Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's IT network environment, including hardware and software. The role also includes incident and change management and supporting employee on- and off-boarding processes.
To succeed in this position, candidates should have at least five years of experience in network administration or a similar role. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Technical expertise in network management, system security, and a variety of operating systems is required. Problem-solving abilities and customer service skills are also important for this role, and relevant certifications will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure network availability and quality, performing repair actions in collaboration with local teams.
- Configure, change, update network and firewall devices, policies and rules.
- Monitor network and associated systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
- Conduct daily performance analysis and troubleshoot root causes of issues.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and enforce the company's information security policy and compliance with the regulation.
- Manage secure configurations and changes for networks, firewalls, hardware, systems, and mobile devices.
- Identify appropriate technologies, equipment, and software for building networks.
- Managing and maintaining our IT network in Logistics, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Recommending and contributing changes in network security.
- Coordinating and scheduling downtime for maintenance, patching and upgrades of network devices and systems.
- Perform Incident management – troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Perform Change management – plan and implement changes.
- Manage and handle logistics for IT equipment.
- Support the IT aspects of employee on- and off-boarding processes.
- Follow up on ticket requests and escalate as needed.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as Network Administrator or similar position.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and under tight deadlines.
- Experience with OSI Model
- Experience with network protocols: OSPF, RSVP/LDP, TCP/IP, RIP, VLANs, Port-security
- Experience with routing, switching, firewalling, and related network protocols (ICMP, ARP, Port-security, etc.).
- Experience with managing switches and routers, firewalls, cloud network.
- Experience with AD, DNS, ADFS, DHCP, NPS, CA.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Atlassian products (Jira Service Management).
- Virtualization certificates.
- Windows Server certificates.
- Network infrastructure certificates.
- ITIL certificates.
- Other IT related certificates.
