RESPONSIBILITIES
This position offers a hybrid work model, with the office located in Warsaw.

  • Extensive knowledge of application structures, common application tiered layouts, and advanced administration knowledge of a business application focused on general business activities as would be found in any enterprise sized business (ERP, CRM, B2B, or Finance related) or another enterprise grade platform and functional understanding of PaaS environments like OIC, DBaaS, ATP, or others.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for public cloud service offerings including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of advanced troubleshooting, addressing and categorizing user issues with the application, ability to define and replicate issues or fully document issues observed for escalated response. Ability to work directly with development on defining bugs or issues and getting resolution support engaged quickly. Ability to help others to find resolution with product information.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for public cloud service offerings including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
  • Very good to Expert understanding of release management, deployment documentation, post deployment reviews, access and privileged access reports, and general environment comparisons. Ability to address variance, changes in the structures and potential feature impacts ahead of release. Ability to plan and coordinate multiple releases within a given change window.
  • Responsible for Service Level Agreements or Operational Level Agreements for assigned IT Services.


Local Leadership and Employee Engagement for the Warsaw IT Service Delivery Center

  • Cultivate an environment to inspire employees & promote business results
  • Facilitate employee programs & local engagement activities
  • Promotes "One UL Solutions"
  • Champion implementation of ULS strategies and supports change management
  • Engages with the Warsaw site leader and participates as part of their local leadership team
  • Escalates impactful decisions to the IT VP of Technology


Safety Starts Here and Business Continuity

  • Ensures site compliance with ULS safety protocols
  • Supports and engages with local safety committee
  • Promotes Safety Starts Here and builds local safety culture
  • Ensures Business Continuity plans for IT exist and are maintained and are part of the site Business Continuity plan.
  • Lead disaster response and recovery actions for IT in the site and ensure local leaders are engaged


Facilities and Site Investments

  • Provide a comfortable and safe working environment across office space, lab and grounds in coordination with local and corporate facilities
  • Overseeing implementation of Sustainability and facility related initiatives
  • Coordinate with site contractors and vendors as required
  • Responsibility for audit control and enforcement documenting audit testing and findings.
  • Serve as ULS IT representative during audits & accreditation visits, as required
  • Ensure IT site audit findings are resolved


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with public cloud best practices including right sizing, security and talent management.
  • ISO27001 or comparable audit compliance familiarity. Certification encouraged.
  • Demonstration of long-life cycle project management with advanced complexity.
  • Familiarity with development lifecycle management to partner with application lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform management functions such as: managing staff performance through development of performance standards, managing employee relations issues, identifying training needs and planning to address those needs, planning staffing levels, assisting in long range operational planning, recommending annual operating goals and budgets, developing strategies to achieve goals, and maintaining budget performance.
  • Detailed knowledge of the delivery of quality IT Services.
  • 1 year of experience in implementing cloud solutions on public cloud platforms.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts
