About the internship opportunity: POAH is seeking an IT Intern to join its IT Department for the spring (PT) and summer of 2024 (PT/FT).  The POAH IT intern assists staff at all levels with a broad range of tasks as they plan, develop and operate day to day IT operations and projects.  The position will include:

  • Supporting the IT department in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support as needed
  • Auditing various IT contracts and uploading them into our applications/databases
  • Document standard operating procedures
  • Develop end user self-help documents and other training materials
  • Auditing of various other systems and platforms to ensure current and accurate information
  • Assist with the standardization and streamlining of internal processes
  • Poll and interact with end users to obtain data, feedback, and other input
Qualifications

Candidates should be an undergraduate in college focused on Computer Science or Information Technology.  Candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows 11, Autopilot/Intune MDM, MS Office applications, Databases, Networking including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and IT Security.  The position is part time during the spring and full time for ten weeks during the summer.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must as well as the ability to work well in a team as well as independently and a strong work ethic and attention to detail is desired.

Position will be a hybrid with onsite and remote work based on applicant availability.  Location: 2 Oliver Street Suite 500 Boston, MA 02109
