Position Purpose: The IT Intern is responsible for the day to day IM administration and support of Buffalo Grove site as part of the IM organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage and/or assist with local site projects or other specific tasks
Provide 1st line IM support by actively monitoring the IM ticketing system and prioritizing task execution, ensuring and effective IM service for business remotely or at the desk side.
Ensure that the agreed IM and company standards ad policies are utilized to complete tasks
Responsible for day-to-day operation of our computer systems
Within the IM organization, routine contact will be necessary with IM staff, IM managers and Vendors.
Complete resolution tasks for incidents and services request with Time Management in minds
Liaise with other IM personnel to ensure seamless ownership until resolution for IT requests that cross team boundaries (Ex: with IM, people from other sites and/pr Vendors)
Contribute to IT support process documentation
Provide knowledge transfer to ender users
Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
ACUC User Account Management, unlocking accounts, resetting passwords
Support Microsoft OS, Office software
PC diagnostics and desktop deployments (DELL Laptop/Desktop Hardware Support Experience)
Printer and peripheral devices installation and maintenance (XEROX, HP, Network Printers)
Software installation via media or deployment software
Identify wLAN vs LAN and Client vs Server related issues effectively
Video Conference equipment support
Demonstrable customer service expertise (Prioritize, Time Management, and Escalation of tickets)
Structured, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Effective verbal, presentation, written and listening communication skills
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a virtual environment
Microsoft back and front office suite certification
- Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and preferably focused on industrial engineering or other related Engineering field
- Candidates preferred to have completed their second year of engineering studies and entering Junior or Senior year
- High problem-solving skills and self-direction
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work in an office environment
