Position Overview
The IT Intern will assist the Infrastructure & Support team with day-to-day operations and project-based tasks. This role is designed for a motivated individual seeking hands-on experience in network administration, system support, and IT security within a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
· Assist with the configuration and deployment of network devices (routers, switches, access points).
· Support ongoing infrastructure migration from VMware Velos SD-WAN and Aruba switching to Cisco Meraki.
· Perform routine system checks and update documentation for network and device configurations.
· Help maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure accurate records.
· Collaborate with help desk and field service teams to resolve user issues.
· Participate in security audits and assist with compliance documentation.
· Shadow senior engineers for learning and contribute to project tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Currently or previously enrolled in an IT, Computer Science, or related program.
· Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN).
· Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
· Ability to work part-time (flexible schedule).
Preferred Skills
· Exposure to Aruba or Cisco Meraki networking equipment.
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud services.
· Interest in cybersecurity principles.
