Summary: The TekniPlex Information Technology team is seeking an Intern to support the organization’s cybersecurity, infrastructure, and end-user computing initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to enterprise IT operations while delivering tangible value through project execution, operational support, and process improvement. The intern will work closely with IT leadership and technical teams to strengthen security posture, enhance infrastructure reliability, and improve the end-user technology experience.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
Cybersecurity Support
- Assist with security monitoring, vulnerability management, and remediation activities using Enterprise grade process and tools
- Support identity and access management tasks, including user provisioning and audits
- Help document security controls, procedures, and compliance artifacts
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and policy updates
End User Computing
- Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for end-user devices, applications, and collaboration tools
- Support endpoint security, patching, and configuration management
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to cross-functional IT projects with defined deliverables and timelines
- Analyze existing processes and recommend efficiency or security improvements
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and executive-ready summaries
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of operating systems (Windows), networking, and basic security concepts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
