Your Role As an IT Infra Architect you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the IT infrastructure for a customer system, participating from Sales to Service Take Over. You will play a crucial role in aligning on requirements with customer peer architects in the project team, creating a suitable design and guiding the engineering team in realizing it. You will be collaborating with enthusiastic colleagues all over the world to create infrastructure solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Your department
You will be part of the IT Infra department, which is responsible to design and deliver IT infrastructure as part of our customer solution delivery. Our department is the IT Infra capability centre that supports all airport projects globally. Our delivery forms an integral part of the automated material handling systems that we install for our customers and is based on Microsoft/Linux standards, VMware, Kubernetes, Cisco, Siemens, Lenovo, Fortinet and HPE hardware.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Join our team as an IT Infrastructure Architect and revolutionize the way our customers experience their IT solutions. As a key player in our dynamic environment, your strong communication skills and flexibility will be the driving force behind our innovative products and solutions. Collaborate with a team of enthusiastic colleagues all over the world to use your expertise to design infrastructure solutions that exceed our customer's expectations.
Furthermore:
· You take the technical responsibility for the IT Infrastructure delivery as part of our airport solutions.
· You work alongside the product development team to improve our IT Infra products and prepare them for the future.
· You carry out, as an expert, the requirements analysis in close coordination with the Solution Architect and plan the network and server landscape in detail.
· You add enablers for remote access, security, operation systems, virtualization, … etc.
· You analyse the system structures according to the project requirements and coordinate the infrastructure changes or system adaptations.
· You, as an advisor, support projects during execution and you support our sales team in the offer phase.
Your Profile
· You have a Bachelor/master level in a relevant field, e.g. Computer Science or Information Technology.
· You have 10 years of work experience in industrial IT infrastructure implementations. Having Airport Baggage Handling knowledge is an advantage.
· You have experience in designing complex server / client structures based on current Windows / Linux systems and virtualization and/or containerization technology.
· You have experience with security standards.
· You have knowledge of cloud technology (Azure) and containerization using CNAP, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm are an advantage.
· Having hardware knowledge of HPE, Fortinet and Cisco is an advantage.
· Have a positive, hands on and can-do attitude.
· Be fluent in English (written and verbal).
· Be willing to travel worldwide (indication: 5% of the time).
· Be able to work with Agile teams.
· Be a team player.
· Be a natural technical leader with strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
