Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated IT Engineer to join our team to manage our IT infrastructure and support our team of 300+ employees. As an IT Engineer at Tulip, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology systems while providing exceptional technical support to our employees. Your position will be in our Global HQ, but your work will enable Tulipians working around the world.

This is an on-site role in our Somerville office 5 days a week.


Your key responsibilities will include…

  • Administration and support of IT infrastructure, including endpoint management, networking, productivity systems, and other SaaS Systems
  • Automating Identity and Access Management, including user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure security and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Executing technical projects on the IT roadmap (e.g., SSO integrations, onboarding and offboarding automation) 
  • Developing and maintaining IT documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Occasional Desktop support for the Somerville team when remote support from Budapest isn’t possible

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:

  • Working in IT on a small team as an administrator, engineer, or similar role for 4+ years
  • macOS endpoint administration (e.g., Jamf, Kandji)
  • Identity and Access Management platforms (e.g., Okta, Onelogin)
  • Supporting A/V and meeting technology (e.g., Google Meet Hardware, Zoom Rooms)
  • Automation using low code / no code platforms (e.g., Zapier, Workato, Tray.io)


We’d prefer candidates who also have experience with:

  • Windows endpoint administration (e.g., Intune)
  • Administration of Google Workspace, Jira, and Confluence
  • Administration of Meraki office networks
  • Administration of computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Information security practices and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security)
  • Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Scripting for administration (e.g., Bash, Python)
