We are looking for an IT Test Engineer to join our QA team and contribute to ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our software solutions.
In this role, you will support growing testing needs by designing and executing test cases, analyzing functional scenarios, performing performance testing, and identifying and tracking defects throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with development teams to help reduce production defects and enable timely and reliable software releases.
The role provides exposure to complex systems and a collaborative environment where you can develop your testing expertise while contributing directly to product quality, customer satisfaction, and business continuity.
What you will do
- Design IT test cases and analyze functional scenarios and requirements.
- Design performance tests and develop performance test scripts.
- Execute functional, performance, and other IT test cases using specified testing tools.
- Prepare, configure, and verify test environments before test execution.
- Execute automated performance test cases and analyze test results.
- Document, analyze, and report test results and identified issues.
- Troubleshoot IT applications and investigate test failures and unexpected system behavior.
- Validate test data, test scenarios, and expected system outcomes.
- Identify and document defects using relevant defect-tracking tools.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including opening, tracking, retesting, and closing defects.
- Follow up with development teams to support defect resolution and verification.
- Contribute to improving test coverage and reducing defects reaching production.
- Support stable and timely software releases through effective testing and quality assurance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, practices, and overall software quality.
