The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in development technology, hands-on experience with Veeva Vault, a strong command of validated systems and regulatory requirements, and the vision to reimagine what those systems and processes can look like in the age of AI.

Reporting to the Senior Director of IT Applications, this person will own the technology strategy and execution across the Development portfolio, build trusted partnerships with Clinical Operations, Clinical/Medical Development, Quality, Biometrics, Data Management, Regulatory, and more, and serve as a thought partner to the IT leadership team as Kymera scales.

Strategic Leadership
  • Serve as the primary IT business partner across the Development organization, building trusted relationships with Clinical Operations, Clinical/Medical Development, Quality, Biometrics, Data Management, Regulatory, Program Management, Technical Operations, Medical Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance/Safety.
  • In partnership with the Development organization, define and drive the technology roadmap, balancing near-term delivery with long-term strategic positioning for Phase 3 scale and NDA readiness.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge conventional approaches, identifying opportunities to reimagine and streamline Development processes and systems.
  • Partner closely with the AI lead to identify, prioritize, and execute AI-enabled opportunities within the Development portfolio.
Technology Portfolio Ownership
  • Lead ongoing and upcoming technology implementations including Veeva Vault QMS, eTMF, and CTMS, partnering with business leads, vendors, and implementation partners to deliver validated solutions on time and with high quality.
  • Own the technology strategy and vendor relationships for Kymera's existing Regulatory, Quality, and Biometrics systems, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and scalable.
  • Partner with the data analytics lead to ensure data integrations and analytic tools support the evolving needs of the business.
  • Scope and evaluate new technology initiatives, as the Development's needs grow. Build and maintain a 2-3 year application roadmap.
Execution and Delivery
  • Lead business requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design across the Development portfolio in an environment without a dedicated PMO.
  • Translate complex business requirements into validated, fit-for-purpose technology solutions that meet GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Drive change management, end-user training, and adoption activities to ensure technology investments deliver their intended value.
  • Ensure existing systems and integrations are running smoothly.

Skills and experience you’ll bring:
  • 12+ years of IT experience supporting the Development organization, in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a company through Phase 3 clinical trials, NDA submission, and commercialization. You have done this before and can bring that roadmap knowledge to bear.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault (QMS, eTMF, and CTMS) and a strong command of clinical trial processes, data standards, and GxP requirements.
  • Familiarity with statistical computing environments for clinical submissions (SAS-based or equivalent) and the validated systems governance that surrounds them.
  • Experience with Regulatory Information Management systems and the requirements of a submission-ready technology landscape.
  • A genuine interest in AI and its practical application - not just awareness, but a drive to identify and execute on high-value opportunities.
  • Strong strategic instincts paired with a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a lean, fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; this role requires building trust across a range of scientific and operational partners.
  • Comfort managing vendor and implementation partner relationships and holding them accountable to quality, budget, and timeline commitments.
  • Ability to work 3-5 days on-site.
  • Advanced degree in a life science or technical area a plus.
