We are looking for a qualified IT Dev Ops Support Engineer to join our expanding operational services team supporting the deployment and maintenance of our highly innovative Biopharma Platform. Genedata’s Biopharma Platform revolutionizes the process of biopharma R&D and we therefore have quickly taken a global market leadership position with a rapidly growing client base.
The IT Dev Ops Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting the management of Genedata Good Practice (GxP) applications throughout the system life cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, day-to-day troubleshooting, applications support, system administration, solution configuration, managing customizations, data security and integrity aligned with GxP compliance. Furthermore, this interdisciplinary, multi-faceted position offers an exciting opportunity to assist our global customers on IT-related challenges that relate to the effective deployment of the Genedata Biopharma Platform.

This full-time position is based at our office in Munich. It requires flexible working hours to support global projects. Minimal travel might be required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Install, configure, and manage cloud-based deployments of Genedata products, ensuring secure and professional delivery of managed services;
Perform application administration and support for GxP applications and systems in a controlled or regulatory function following internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WIs), and regulatory requirements;
Automate IT operations and provide technical support through efficient case handling and documentation;
Administer and support GxP applications and systems in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WIs), and regulatory requirements, including validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and periodic reviews;
Lead and support validation projects at customer sites, ensuring adherence to internal, client, and regulatory standards;
Assist with IT QMS processes such as change control impact assessments, CAPA execution, and root cause analysis;
Support regulatory, customer and other such audits from IT or QA departments;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant managed services.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience);
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a system administrator or DevOps role supporting IT applications and infrastructure;
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems and hands-on experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS;
Proven ability to work in a cross regional team and manage remote installations, support, and system verification;
Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating effective customer-facing verbal and written communication, including presentation capabilities;
Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic environment;
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, systems, and procedures;
A plus is familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools, experience with ticketing systems such as Jira Service Management / Salesforce, understanding of ITIL processes, and background in GxP, validated, or qualified system environments.
