IT Development Manager - SAP Data Analytics (SAP BW with ABAP, SAP Datasphere & SAC)

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Development Manager who will drive the delivery activities of our SAP Data Analytics Solution across the lifecycle at HC (Home Comfort). The IT Development Manager is in the driver’s seat for the delivery activities of our SAP Data Analytics Solution’s features across the lifecycle. He/She work in close coordination with the IT Operations Manager, the IT Solution Manager or Product & Service Manager, and IT Architects to ensure a balance between speed and stability. The IT Development Manager is a key player in the software lifecycle by overseeing changes in integrated products/components and coordinating the tasks with other team members.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Takes over responsibility and coordinates all technical developments of the SAP Data Analytics projects and solutions incl. releases.

• Creates and changes product/solution software under consideration of the software and underlying product/solution development guidelines.

• Assesses customer requirements from a technical perspective with respective effort estimations.

• Assist in the design and development of proof of concept and prototypes.

• Collaborates with Solution Manager and IT Architects on the delivery of solution functionalities.

• Analyze, develop, and implement IT Solutions that satisfies design requirements.

• Follows and uses the respective templates, processes and regulations from excellence organizations and ensures a consistent requirement engineering, development, deployment, and testing methodology.

• Collaborates with the technical development management of the development excellence organizations.

• Defines consistent system specific guidelines for the software development environment in alignment with central guidelines and solution excellence organization.

• Participate in tier 3 IT Product/Solution support activities including incident management and the assessment and delivery of application upgrades and patches.

• Document specifications and support the creation of operational support manuals during the technical implementation.

• Take over responsibility for interface implementation and documentation.

• Assess impact of implemented IT Product/Service changes.

• Balance between standardization and customer orientation as well as development speed and time-to-market.

• Steering of external and internal developers

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

• 10-15 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW development and implementation.

• Experience in at least 5 end-to-end BW project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.

• Good understanding of LSA/LSA++ architecture and Model development following standards.

• Strong experience in writing ABAP code – for user exits, routines and transformations.

• Develop and optimize ABAP programs for data extraction from various SAP and non-SAP sources, ensuring efficient ETL processes.

• Must have 5+ years of experience with SAP BW4/HANA and BW on HANA.

• At least 2+ years of experience with implementation in SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere is desirable.

• Must have excellent experience in Front-End tools like BEX, AfO, BO, etc.

• Experience in extracting the data from SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA source systems.

• Excellent experience across key functional areas like Sales, Logistics, Controlling, Production, Purchasing, etc.

• Must have experience in connecting and extracting from Azure and Oracle Data Lakes.

Mandatory/requires Skills :

• SAP BW4/HANA and BW on HANA

Preferred Skills :

•  

  Working knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools, and techniques/ability to interpret quality indicators.

• Capable of documenting and interpreting functional and technical specifications.

• Experienced in effectively interacting and communicating.

• Knowledge of RB and GB regulations for developments.

• Knows the required templates, processes, and regulations from the solution excellence organization.
