JOB DESCRIPTION
- Analyzes system requirements, preparing of specifications, designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting.
- Implements complex requirement for multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications.
- Resolves problems by devising or modifying procedures.
- Considers equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results when developing resolutions.
- Supports the identification of system requirements by interviewing users, interviewing and selecting vendors (if applicable), analyzing applications, evaluating existing and proposed systems, and recommending solutions.
- Independently analyzes and isolates application issues and performs problem resolution.
- Monitors progress of software-based projects by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
- Improves systems performance by investigating problems, developing specifications, identifying trends in technology, and recommending solutions.
- Assists with formulating and defining specifications for software programming applications and modifies existing applications.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the hands-on developer for small to large scale initiatives for multiple Salesforce instances, integrations and related applications through the design, development, testing and implementation phases
- Develop new and support existing Apex (classes and triggers) and Visualforce to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements
- Custom User Interface development, including Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components
- Work with other IT teams to integrate Salesforce with key applications
- Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, procedures, and change management controls
- Write technical design documents and perform code reviews.
- Provide training and assistance to team as necessary, we are a smart, growing global team
- Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes and enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus generally four years of directly related experience.
- 3+ years hands-on advanced Salesforce development experience with Salesforce Sales, Service Clouds, consulting experience preferred
- Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I and Platform App Builder Certifications required
- Salesforce Sales, Service, Community (Experience) Cloud Consultant Certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in and experience with Apex, Lightning, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Java, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, managing/creating flows, validation rules, application lifecycle management, object-oriented programming, system integration, ETL tools and webservices
- Experience developing across multiple systems which may include Salesforce Sales, Service, Commerce, Experience Clouds; system integration, data strategy, and reporting services.
- Strong organizational, communication and writing skills
- Agile project management experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment and adjust to changing priorities and participation in multiple projects.
- Experience with Copado, Einstein Analytics/Tableau, Azure DevOps preferred
- Understanding of Version Control Systems like Git preferred
- Basic understanding of operating in a controlled environment with strong change management practices
